The past few days I have felt like it is safe to say we truly have left the cold in the past and are heading towards summer temperatures. I may not be heading to the beach for this long weekend but soon enough it is going to be very hot.
That means lounging in bathing suits and finding that right swim cover up.
1. Pompom-Trim Cover-Ups (just bought this one!!)
2. Jen’s Pirate Booty Women’s Baja Beach Poncho
4. 6 Shore Road Kontini Mini in Soco Geo
5. Echo Block Print Caftan Swim Cover Up
7. Echo Moroccan Beadwork Print Tunic Swim Cover Up
10. Vix Swimwear Xingu Swim Cover Up – Multi

13. Women’s Regular Polka Dot Crewneck Swim Tee Rash Guard
Personally I am the type to wear a sundress as a cover up because I find some coverups don’t really do what their name implies. They are see through or low cut and if I am covering up because I am cold from swimming (totally plausible in Canada) or heading off to lunch I don’t want to let it all hang out.
Rash guards or swim tees are becoming increasingly popular. Inspired by surf-wear, and something that overprotective moms have been putting on their children for a while now, they are now being sold in adult sizes and fun prints.
I think they are a great idea if you are super sensitive to the sun, and plan on being at the beach all day with no way to hide from the sun. I am notorious for no reapplying sunscreen, so I expect that many of you are too! Keep in mind that you do need SOME sun to boost your vitamin d.
What type of swim cover up are you wearing?
