I have succumbed to the teddy coat trend. And to be honest anything that keeps me warm and cozy is a good trend in my books. Really the teddy coat is a different way to wear fleece. Still I prefer this coat style that to a more sporty traditional looking fleece pullover.
When I first tried on this teddy coat I thought that this is going to be more of a fall coat. That it won’t really be warm enough for the dead of winter when we have -40 degree blasts of cold. Still I was able to easily layer chunky knits underneath because the style is quite over sized. I picked my usual size large but I could have sized down for a more fitted option. I am actually glad for all the volume because there aren’t too many coats that allow for chunky knits.
The features I really like about this coat are the large lapels, the easy snap closure and the large pockets. The white is a nice neutral option that goes with everything.
The one drawback is that everything sticks to the fleece! Don’t walk through the woods and expect to come out clean. Burs and leaves and sticks will easily stick to the fleece like it was a magnet.
Outfit details: Teddy coat Monki (more in this round up), jeans Banana Republic, scarf Free People, hat Club Monaco, bag Chloe (resale options here and here), boots Everlane.
What do you think of the Teddy Coat Style? Would you wear it?
