Just like Weddings, babies seem to come in waves. Maybe its peer pressure, maybe its just an age thing but one thing is for certain it is baby shower season.
Thankfully there was so much food and presents to be opened plus enough toddlers and babies skipping naps that there were no unnecessary games or silly hats to embarrass my husband’s cousin.
What I wore to this baby shower was kind of an updated version of what I would have worn to the office in my corporate days.
Really the grey blazer is what in my mind finishes this outfit but also takes it from being just a simple pant and blouse combination and making it a bit more professional. And since I feel like I might be a professional baby shower attendee by the end of the summer this outfit seems appropriate.
You will see a subtle mixing of prints in this outfit but since they are my floral blouse and animal print shoes, it isn’t exactly breaking down any barriers.
Outfit details: Blazer Zara (old), Blouse Nick & Mo via Studio We!, Pants Banana Republic (old but these are similar), Shoes Jeffery Campbell (sold out but these are great too) Jewellery Stella & Dot.
I was glad I had picked pants because I was on the floor alot with my 8 month old, while we were watching the presents get opened. But a part of me thinks a dress is more appropriate for a Baby Shower. Still I think the only person who wore a dress was the Mommy to Be.
What do you think? What would you wear to a baby shower this season?
