It is hard to believe that I am actually posting about a coat in the summer but it has been cool enough in the evenings and early mornings to put on a extra layer.
I feel as though I am on repeat because I am pretty sure I said the same thing in the last post. Like I am justifying putting on a coat in August.
Either way this coat was burning a hole in my closet and I just wanted to put it on either way. And there are a few sizes left (hello under $75!).
I paired the stripe coat with another favourite from my sale shopping, the Nine West leopard pumps. LOVE THEM! They have the perfect heel in my opinion.
I will say that fit wise on this coat I could have sized down. This is the second time I have said this about the Asos stuff and I wonder if the sizes aren’t exactly a match to what I am used to for Canadian sizing. A UK 14 is supposed to be a 10, but it seems large to me. But I know as it gets colder I will be thankful for the extra space to fit sweaters .
Outfit details: Stripe Coat Asos, flower print tank Anthropologie (old, but this is similar), skinny jeans Paige, Leopard Heels Nine West.
We had a long weekend here in Canada this past weekend and it was the perfect weather to actually stay in the city as opposed to escaping to the cottage. We took the kids for a walk through Tommy Thompson park on Monday morning and it was perfect. It is one of those parks that makes you forget that you are in Toronto, until you see the CN Tower peeking through the trees.

What I usually do with asos and their weird sizes is that I check the item's measurements and measure myself every single time I order something. I find that their sizes don't correlate to ours, and so far this has worked for me ;)

I really need to start doing that because this is like the second or 3rd time this has happened to me. I usually trust that my size is my size which we all know is not true, every retailer is different.

I LOVE it that it's cool enough for us to wear coats (or scarves in my case). And that striped coat is perfect for summer (or can we just call this early fall? ;) ).
