Thirdlove Bras Come to Canada

Just in time for Valentine’s Day ThirdLove is now shipping to Canada! Who is ThirdLove? They are an online lingerie shop that rivals your local bra fitting boutique. Based in San Francisco ThirdLove has everything from European inspired lace bras, memory foam push up styles and even wireless styles.

I am someone who has long since left behind the mall bra stores behind (think La Senza and Victoria’s Secret) behind for better fit and support. As a Mom who has breastfed two babies, shelf bras and bralets just don’t cut it any more. I instead look for full coverage and lots of support to get some perkiness back in the girls, if you know what I mean!

Currently in my bra and underwear drawer I have everything from box bras that are about $30 (some hits, mostly misses) to bras from the lingerie shops that cost $100 or up that are superior in lift and separation but are so much more expensive.

ThirdLove bridges the gap. You get lingerie shop quality bras at about half the price or less!

I have worn my ThirdLove bra a few times now since receiving it last week and here are my thoughts so far.

1. The lift is as good if not superior to my more expensive bras. This has to be my most favourite feature.

2. The lace is comparable to made in Europe bras I have from specialty lingerie stores.

3. The straps are thinner than most full coverage bras, which I like because it makes the bra seem more youthful. Since this is a good quality bra the lift is coming from the band not the straps so there is no loss of support.

4. I love the added touch of the padded closure.

The only drawback I would note is the style I chose (the Lace Full Coverage bra) only came in pink, black or turquoise. I would have loved a nude lace version with pink straps or some other combination with a nude base. I guess I could have gone pink! (UPDATE for 2019 – they have one now! How cute is this?)

Also note you have to have a really good grasp of what your size is before shopping. I made sure to pull out my bras from the lingerie shops to understand how the sizing went before I chose the style and size I wanted. There is a sizing app for your smart phone. I tried using it but it was an utter failure because I did not have a full length mirror. Using the bathroom mirror no matter how tall it is won’t work unless you can stand right up against the mirror with your phone.

I also tried out the lace boyshort panties. They were great but basically lived up to the expectations I had so nothing really to add. They didn’t ride up, were seamless coverage. Exactly what I was looking for.

All in all I am extremely happy with my shopping experience courtesy of ThirdLove! I am so in love with my Lace full coverage bra.
