We had our first snowfall this week and instantly I wanted to decorate everything for Christmas. It also has me thinking about plaids and festive outfits.
Most of the time, unless I am going to a Christmas party, I stick with fairly casual outfits. But I do make sure to pepper in the red and some sparkle.
I put together three Festive Holiday Outfits that are easy to recreate from what you might have already. Or you might be inspired to add something more festive to your wardrobe this year.
sweater // plaid flats // plaid button down // lace pants
Loving this look because it looks fancy but it is pretty basic when you break it down. If you want to make it even more casual switch out the lace pants for jeans. I have already purchased those shoes because they instantly Christmas-ify any outfit. They also come in this style with a bow instead of bling. If you aren’t into bling try this sweater with the pom poms.
velvet flats // black cashmere tunic // slim plaid trousers // gold tote
This is my kind of outfit. The slim trousers will look great with black, cream, navy or red. The velvet flats look luxurious but would be so comfortable. The gold tote is reversible so when you are feeling less festive you can use the tan suede side.
velvet pants // embellished sweater // sparkly flats
I love this outfit! Velvet pants are such a warm but luxurious option. The detail on that sweater is divine and it comes in multiple colours. I may have already ordered those flats (I know I went overboard)! I think they will work great for weddings and New Years just as well as Christmas. If you want to layer up you can wear a plaid button down, or a stripe turtleneck.
How do you dress for Christmas? Stick with jeans and a red sweater or something more?
