I was at a wedding shower this past weekend and I got a chance to wear this beautiful embellished Anthropologie dress.
It is definitely a boho style, which Anthropologie is known for but I think it is fun twist on a simple cotton dress. With all the extras on this dress it is anything but simple!
I rarely order things online from Anthropologie because the shipping is expensive for Canadians and the prices do not include duties or taxes. But I couldn’t resist this dress (now on sale) and when there was a free shipping promotion recently I caved and ordered it.
The easy breezy summer style with the jeweled neckline makes it super special.
Many of the reviewers on the Anthropologie website noted that this dress was large. I would say that it is roomy but I wouldn’t want to size down. The style isn’t supposed to be super fitted and I think it would detract if I sized down and everything was too tight through the chest. If you don’t have a booty or chest to worry about then you might need to consider sizing down.
The hemline is also a slight high low, but not exaggeratedly so.
The neckline is just a bit deep so I wore a colour coordinated camisole. My sole society heels paired perfectly as well.
The jean jacket kept things from being too formal for an afternoon event and a bit of print mixing with the cheetah pouch added to the fun.
Outfit details: Embellished boho dress Anthropologie (on SALE!), lavender camisole Anthropoligie, denim jacket JCREW factory, cheetah clutch Madewell (similar), block heel sandals Sole Society.
What have you worn to a wedding shower lately?

SO pretty! I wanted to order something just yesterday from their site + yes, with the shipping fee, there is no deal. Boo. I need to pop into the Yorkdale store soon!
