Ok this isn’t exactly what I am wearing to Christmas Dinner, but I am taking some inspiration from this outfit.
We don’t really dress up exactly for Christmas Dinners in our family. That doesn’t mean we are sloppy either, wearing sweat pants and oversized tees, but we aren’t wearing party gowns and suits either.
Even though I am planning a blouse and jeans combo, I like to bring some Christmas feeling into my outfits via colour not a tacky Christmas sweater a la Bridget Jones. Think silver and gold, red and green.

To me the Christmas Dinner is more about enjoying time with family, not the Christmas Party where you are dressed to impress your boss or neighbours. It’s about taking something you are comfortable with, like you family or a worn in pair of jeans and taking it up a notch (with a silky blouse, or red shoes) for a special occasion.
What will you be wearing over the holidays? Do you go glam or save the sparkles for New Years Eve?
