When it comes to Easter it evokes images of colour from Spring flowers to sugary Easter candy. So taking my cue from the season I busted out my yellow denim for an Easter dinner at my parents house.
I picked up this chambray pop over tunic from Madewell on sale and I think it really works paired with skinny denim. And because the tunic is such a bleached version it also works for a denim on denim look assuming you go with a dark denim or coloured denim like above.
I paired bright easter colours like my yellow jeans and a orangey stripe top with the chambray tunic to kind of tone it down along with my black Joe Fresh booties.
I love how the orangey-red stripes are peaking through at the sleeves, at the collar and at the hem. Might be one of my favourite parts of this outfit and how the tunic is cut high in the waist to let a layering top peek through.
I went for a walk in the woods soon after these photos were taken and got the bottoms of my yellow jeans a bit dirty so I switched into a blue denim. Even though the blue denim was more conventional it was a great look too (hmmm I sense a remix coming on).
Outfit details; Chambray tunic Madewell, Stripe top Joe Fresh, Yellow Jeans Madewell, Black booties Joe Fresh (similar), White Sunglasses Zara.
What did you wear Easter weekend? Was it bright and colourful?
