I love Winners. Well a good Winners anyways. You know there are ones that have cheap stuff and then there are the ones that have good stuff for cheap.
But sometimes even the best Winners location can be disappointing. At the end of the season when everything has been picked over or when you are trying too hard to find something great.
I went to Winners today to shop for my Husband for father’s day. And even though it turned out to be a complete miss for him it was great for my daughter and I!
I was at the Winners at Leaside which means that I of course stroll through the ladies accessories purses and shoes before I head upstairs to the mens and kids.
And while strolling through the shoes section I was stopped in my tracks but a gorgey pair of pale grey, super soft leather flats. These weren’t even the first pair of shoes to catch my eye. The first pair was in the Runway section and were WAY out of my price range and a bit impractical for a pregnant stay at home mom.
The buttery soft leather flats however were reasonably priced at $70 and great for running around. They are the type of shoe that improves the style factor of my wardrobe. The second pair of shoes ups my cool factor and lets face it are ridiculously practical for hanging at the park or the beach.
I don’t even know where I first found out about Bensimon sneakers, whether it was an issue of Lucky or WhoWhatWear. All I know is I have been kicking myself since I passed on the Stylehopper deal that basically got you 2 for 1. Bensimon style shown above retail for $55 on madewell.com. But then you have to factor on duty and taxes and shipping … you get the point. Seems like alot for a pair of casual sneaks, even if they are from Paris.
If you can read the price above you will be shocked to see that you can get these Bensimon slip ons for $23 at Winners!! Woot! I had to go up a size because they fit fairly narrow and there are no half sizes.
For all you moms out there who have kids obsessed with Toy Story, I scored my daughter a plush Mr. Potato Head. No not the classic on that has all the removable parts, this is Mr. Potato Head from the movie for $5.
What types of deals have you scored at Winners lately?

[...] warm March we have been having to ditch my bots and wear flats with no socks. These skimmers that I picked up last year at Winners have been a pleasant surprise in that they have been so easy to wear with no real breaking in time. [...]
