I posted about the Cocoon Coat over a month ago but it got me really interested in the oversized look when it comes to winter coats. Really it is super practical, because the style can handle all the layers we wear in the winter.
Even when girls try to wear more fitted styles they tend to come off bulky, or end up not being warm enough. I opt to look easy and cool not cold this winter.
Plus this style is already popular amongst the European style bloggers I follow like Coline and Camille.

Because this Boyfriend coat style is oversized you might have to size down to avoid drowning in fabric. I did try on a couple at H&M where one was fairly true to size while another style was way too large, even though it is supposed to be oversized. Just because you are petite doesn’t mean you can’t wear this style, just size down so that you don’t look like you are wearing your Grandpa, who also happens to be 6’5s coat.
You will also need a great scarf with this style as the neck openings tend to be exaggerated on a number of them, leaving you a bit more exposed to the elements.
Are you into the Oversized Boyfriend Coat trend?

I love the oversized look. I have a long Pendleton Jacket that reminds of many of these coats. It's perfect for the fall and winter months.
