Before we had a major snow storm there was a small window where it wasn’t crazy cold. Either that of after a week of -30 with the windchill weather my idea of crazy cold is skewed.
Regardless I put on this faux suede jacket to run some errands and was surprised at how cozy it was; it will be a great option during the transition from winter to spring. Unfortunately that won’t be for quite a while.
I ordered this jacket off Sheinside. It is my first order from this online retailer so I thought I would give a quick Sheinside review.
First the jacket fits small. This is an XL and it fits like a North American 8 (or smaller?). The arms up near the shoulders are quite tight. Fine if you are tiny an non-muscular but for the rest of us not the best design. Even though I checked the measurements I will not be able to zip this jacket. It looks cool open and I paid a whopping $30 for it so I am not too worried about that. For those of you who haven’t taken the time to browse Sheinside you can find similar designs to fast fashion stores that we have here in North America like Zara or Asos for much less (unless they are on sale so you do have to watch & compare). Shipping is free but it is slow, as orders are coming from China.
I did order another coat off Sheinside (the blue one from this post) but even though my order went through it was sold out. I exchanged it for a larger size but a few days later found that too was sold out (even though it wasn’t when I put through the exchange) so I exchanged for another coat that is on it’s way to me now. I didn’t try to press for a return as I have read some reviews that this doesn’t go that well (I used the online chat to perform the exchanges) so when you shop keep a few back up items in case you need to exchange.
My second order just shipped but it took about 2 weeks to process. The items that are listed ship in 24 hours do in fact ship fast, but if it is not labeled as such expect to wait for processing times. Things do tend to sell out quickly so act fast if it is something you REALLY want.
Personally I would recommend if you are larger than an 8/10 not to shop sheinside because it is unlikely there will be sizes to fit but if you are smaller (especially if you are small/medium) you can find some great deals.
Have you shopped on Sheinside?
The necklace I am sporting in the post is from a fab local online jewellery boutique called Jewlz from Lineve. Lots of fantastic statement necklaces, earrings and bracelets that you might be familiar with from US shops like Bauble Bar. What I love about this shop is that it is Canadian (woot!!) and that means you can order without fear of duties or excessive shipping costs (shipping is only $4). Click through and check it out. Loving this necklace, this bracelet and these earrings.
Outfit details: Coat Sheinside, top Club Monaco (on SALE), Necklace c/o Jewlz by Lineve, jeans JCREW, boots Joe Fresh (similar)

Since you live in Canada, did you have to pay duty fees when you ordered from she inside? Thank you!

I did not pay any duty on my orders. All of what I ordered though was below the duty threshold. STill I find that you are usually ok if you keep your orders below $100. Also this is not a luxury brand so not automatically flagged by the customs department.

I think that white jacket is really pretty! And I rarely shop online at all because of not knowing how things will fit--I consider it a step of courage to shop online! :P

I usually stick to stores that I can do free returns. In this case the price was so good that I figured it was low risk.

I've never heard of either of these companies before...but I will definitely check out the line of jewelry! Accessories seems to be the only "new" spring purchase I can justify when it's this cold out.
