When I read that it was scheduled to rain the first day of World Mastercard fashion week it totally changed my plan on what to wear. I decided to channel what I had seen some other street style stars wearing in Paris (I think?) by pairing my lace skirt with a sweater, albeit one with embellished shoulders.
I got to the tents in time to see Beaufille formerly knowns as Chloe Comme Parris. The name change is said to move the line more towards its customers and away from the designers. The line was very boho, festival girl which is what we have come to expect from the Gordon sisters. Lots of 90’s influence. I liked it more than the FW13 but it is way to many slip dresses for this 30something.
Next was Pink Tartan.
There was not a whole lot of colour but plenty of texture to make up for it. The silhouettes were exactly what we would expect from Kim Newport Mimran, extremely ladylike and totally wearable and flattering. The collection wasn’t exactly exciting, but very beautiful. Even though I would have liked to see alot more of that beautiful green colour that she only used for one outfit I felt that the use of texture and prints made up for all that white, navy and black.
, The first night at World Mastercard Fashion Week is always a bit magical. Even though this is my third season attending there is still something amazing about the whole experience.
Outfit details: Lace skirt Anthropologie, Grey Sweater JCREW, Heels NINE WEST, Coat DKNY via Marshalls, Clutch Vintage via I Miss You.

I keep kicking myself, why I did not attend, I just was so overwhelmed with the process and had no idea how to be part of it. Love the skirt by the way.

I will say that this year compared to prior years the system to apply was a bit complicated. Only that the platform didn't seem to work as easily in prior years. But for sure next time apply and see if you can come. Or if you get pr invites say yes and get the ticket for sure :)

Love the skirt. Have you checked out Sarah Stevenson designs previously? They are so beautiful and feminine and she designs her own fabrics. So talented.
