Friday night kicked off World Mastercard Fashion Week with the Mikhael Kale show. It was held outside the tents over in Riverside in an unfinished condo building.
It was an interesting venue and had the feel of a fashion show that Carrie would have attended during her Sex in the City days.
I decided to go with some of my old favourites for the first show of the fall season. The leather pleated skirt is something you have seen before (here and here), same with the booties and the tee. The jacket I have had for ages as well, but this is probably the most fashion forward look I have styled it with.
This was the first year I was invited to attend the Mikhael Kale show and I wasn’t disappointed. The cut out details in all the outfits was AMAZING. The teal suede coat was my favourite from the entire show; a really fabulous piece. The cropped cut out leather jackets were pretty fab too. All my favourites are in the picture below.
In addition to the leather and suede there was alot of knits. In fact many of the knits were mixed with the leather and suede. The red hot number above is a great example of the end result. The sparkly skirts were fabulous as well. The fact that some of them were not lined was unrealistic for the average girl but they sparkled like the night sky which makes them an amazing going out option.
Mikhael Kale has been known to dress Beyonce, JLo and Sienna Miller. I can totally see Beyonce rocking dress #3 or #5 can’t you?!
My outfit was definitely demure compared to the hot statement dresses designed by Kale. Still in a sea of black me and the guy with the fantastic red tartan coat were some of the few with colourful outfits.
Outfit details: Red Tweed jacket Gap (super old, options here or here), t-shirt JCREW, Necklace (here ), Leather pleated skirt ASOS (options here, here or here), Cut out booties Micheal Kors via Winners, bag Rebecca Minkoff Mini Mac c/o ELUXE. (psssst Canadian girls a bunch of the Rebecca Minkoff Mini Macs are ON SALE right now!)
