Sometimes you see something one year and it doesn’t really phase you until you see it again, almost everywhere the next.
That is how I feel about sandals with woven heels. There was one style from Zara that was popular with bloggers last year but when I saw them in piles on sale at the end of season I thought wow this must just be for those girls who like to push the fashion envelope.
Or maybe it just takes a season to catch on.

My favourites are the ones with the chunky woven heel detail. Not only is it a walkable heel, but it has this cruise worthy feel.
They are definitely a statement heel but somehow it isn’t an over the top statement but one that I can see being made by a 20something with a white summer dress or a 40 something with a pant suit. They would totally work even with cropped denim and a white tee. Let the shoes, or in this case the woven heeled sandal, do the talking.
