It is that time of year when it is just grey. We have had a crazy couple of weeks weather wise. Ice storms, school closures and throw and ear ache into the mix for my 7 year old and I have been home from work as much as I have been into the office. This is an outfit that I wore last weekend. The calm between two storms.
I bought this faux fur shearling coat back at the end of summer. Just like now when I am predominately shopping for spring summer because the idea of buying another sweater makes me want to be physically ill, back at the end of summer I was all about the fall buys. This coat is lovely and so soft.
It is really warm but the major drawback is that it doesn’t have any sort of closure. Which I mean if you are dressing for winter, proper winter with snow and cold, you would think closing your coat would be a given. Jokes on me because I bought the coat without even thinking to check if there was a closure! It is something I have thought to add, just a popper or something but for now I used my cross body bag to close up the coat.
What I see myself using this coat for is mainly a car coat. You know when you are going from the house to the car to the grocery store or something similar. That way the fact that it doesn’t really close properly doesn’t matter too much.
